Week 13 Google Analytics

The features of Google Analytics that I think would best benefit my business would be
The Search Engine Optimization reports, as it would be great to understand how Google Web Search queries led visitors to your site.  Adsense would also be a beneficial tool.  It would be great to earn additional income and Google Analytics helps displays your ads in the best possible position.  The site and performance could also be a good to incorporate.  I think it’s important to know what traffic you are getting to your website, where they are located and to know what they are doing when they are on your site.

Week 12- Coupon Marketing Examples

For a coupon marking site such as Groupon or Living Social, we could do a few different coupon deals.

One could advertise…purchase $100 towards a wine rock of your choice for $75.

A second example could be… any 2 bottle capacity for $99. ($135 value)

Week 12- Using Other Social Media Tools

Four additional online marketing tools that I believe could be important for the growth of my business is Yelp, Google +, Linkedin, and Coupon Marketing like Groupon or Living Social.

I have heard many good things about Google + so I should give it a try.  It would be nice to incorporate to reach out to a greater community.

I have used Yelp to read reviews about a business.  This is a great tool to see how the customers perceive the business, along with their experience with it.  This could be easily integrated for our business and reach out to past customers to ask them to please Yelp us to get started.

Linkedin would also be easy to get started on, as I already have one for my personal use and could easily connect with my contacts through my business page.  It would also be beneficial to connect with local businesses.

As for coupon marketing, I always felt it as a way of cheapening your services; however, I am now changing my tune on that one.  I am always looking on Groupon and Living Social to see what deals there are.  Even though I may not purchase every deal, it gives you insight on what businesses are in your area, what they offer and often times it’s a new business I haven’t heard of.  It’s a great way of getting our name out there.  Plus giving the customer to try your product or service at a discounted rate, which will ideally turns into a loyal customer base.

Week 11- Calls to Action on Social Media

There are different ways to market on social media without spending money.  For example you can create brand awareness on Facebook by engaging with customers, sharing your company's passions and build loyal communities.  It can be used to encourage online conversation, which will in turn increase brand awareness.  You can also do the same through twitter.  Word of mouth is a great tool; however, you have to know what will get people to begin talking. You can also create online contests to get people talking and put a time limit on it so it creates a since of urgency.

A few calls to action are below…

Week 11 Online Advertising Ad # 3

Please scroll down to see my other 2 ads I created, as they would not all post in one blog.

My third ad I did want to try out how twitter ads worked so I went ahead and created an ad for twitter as well.  As I learned twitter ads are more about gaining followers so I went ahead and targeted everyone on twitter in all categories that are in California, Nevada and Oregon.  My thought was my business product is really for everyone.  I understand target marketing, but if I am just looking for followers why not target everyone.  In this particular ad instead of only making a statement, I added in an action for the audience to let us know what they would like us to create next.  My thought was people would follow us, then reply and that would create a buzz on twitter.
